What is a livestream and video-on-demand? What are the differences?
A livestream is video presentation of an on-going event that is happening in-real time. A video-on-demand is a archived video that can be viewed multiple times and is not an on-going event. If you are wanting to see the event in-real time which means while it it happening, then you will want to purchase the livestream. If you want to rewatch the performance/competition after it had happened and view it multiple times, then you will want to purchase the video-on-demand. Yes, you can buy both.

Does the livestream and video-on-demand cover all three days?
Yes, both the livestream and video-on-demand will cover all three days.
If I only want to see the livestream for one of the days, can I get a prorated rate?
No, livestream price covers all three days as a bundle. There will be no exceptions for a prorated rate for less, later, or last(s) day(s). We highly recommend, if you buy the livestream, to watch all three days to get your monies worth.
Will it cover solo performances and group?
Yes, it will cover both solo and group performances.
After I purchase access to the livestream and video-on-demand, can I share access to my family?
No. It is one user per access. Anyone would like to view the livestream will have to purchase from their own google account. Access links cannot be shared.
Will I need to have a Gmail email address to access the livestream and video-on-demand?
No. A G-Mail e-mail address is not required, BUT a "Google Account is required". Users will need to use the e-mail address associated to their Google Account in order to access the videos.
How long will it take after purchase to view the Livestream or Video-on-Demand?
The livestream will be available instantly if the user pre-orders before the entire event starts. If the user purchases access to the livestream during the event, access will be delayed.
The video-on-demand is depended on editing time. For Merrie Monarch, the biggest hula competition, they take about 6-8 months to release their video. We have averagely taken anywhere from 1 - 2 months to get all of our footage out after the event. IThose who pre-order the video-on-demand will instantly have access to it as soon as it is ready. Once the video-on-demand is published online, anyone who purchases after will take up to 7 days processing to view the videos.
Are we able to download or receive a physical copy of the video-on-demand?
No. As of right now, we do not allow download or are able to give physical copies of Tahiti Fete 2026
